BWF factory QC follows 5 strict checkpoints: 1) Infrared laser screening of 16-feather insertion angles (17.5°) and curvature; 2) Computerized glue dispensing; 3) 400+ RPM high-speed rotational spin balance (centrifugal runout <0.3mm); 4) 30 m/s machine firing with turnaround time <0.15s and landing circle <30cm; Wobble rate must remain under 1%.
1. Optical Laser Sorting & 17.5° Precision Insertion
Optical machines scan tens of thousands of feathers, matching curvature and thickness across 16 identical vanes. Precision indexing dials insert feathers at a strict 17.5° angle with hole tolerance within ±0.15°.
2. High-Speed Rotational Spin Chamber: Wobble Elimination
Shuttles enter a 400–500 RPM spin test chamber where optical sensors measure centrifugal wobble. Any shuttle exhibiting wobble runout exceeding 0.3mm is automatically rejected.
3. 30 m/s Stroke Testing & Turnaround Time Verification
Air cannon test rigs fire shuttles at 30 m/s to verify turnaround time (must reverse 180° within 0.12 to 0.15 seconds) and landing scatter diameter across 12 consecutive shuttles (within 30cm).
Technical & Sourcing FAQs
What is shuttlecock 'Turnaround Time' and why is it vital?
When struck, the shuttlecock travels backward for milliseconds before aerodynamic drag and cork balance turn it 180° forward. A slow turnaround causes erratic flight and baseline drift.
Does ShuttlecockOEM provide Certificates of Analysis (COA) with export shipments?
Yes. Each container shipment includes a full COA covering weight tolerances (4.95g–5.05g), speed consistency, and rotational wobble compliance.
What sampling standard is used for container QA?
We test according to ISO 2859-1 (AQL 2.5), sampling 32 tubes per 500-carton master lot for comprehensive destructive and flight verification.
